You most likely noticed that the month of March came in like a lamb with warmer than average temperatures and not a snowflake evident in this northern state with ski slopes and outdoor skating rinks and ice fishing contests.  Thankfully, the Victoria Fire Department had their Ice Fishing Contest at just the right time.  Some that were scheduled for later had to be cancelled.

Regardless of the weather, the Guardian Angels Men's Club Beef and Sausage Family Style Dinner happens faithfully each year at this time.  Maybe you noticed their ad on page 13 of the February issue of the Gazette.  You might also have noticed a fishhook hiding in the chef's hat.  Several of you did!

When I reached into the minnow bucket of entries, I pulled out Bernie Joos of Waconia to win the $10 drawing.  Congratulations, Bernie.  The check will be on its way to you Soon and Very Soon.  I loved to play that song at church!

I hid another fishhook in this issue of the Gazette.  If you want to be included in the drawing, drop a line to telling of its location or use P.O. Box 387, Victoria, MN 55386 and sinker in the mail.  Best wishes and Happy Lent to you all.
