SMARTEST LITTLE CREATURES ON GOD'S GOOD EARTH.  Sorry about the omission last month of the picture of me and my buddy, The Squirrel.  The story is that I was sitting outside doing some reading and the squirrel ran under my chair.  The next day I had a black walnut with me and when the squirrel got close, I held it out to him.  The photo is a little blurry because the kitchen screen is in the way.

         As ever,

ABOUT THE AUTHOR.  Josh Merchant has always been an author/illustrator at heart.  He grew up on small town sensibility in Delano, attended Bemidji State University, and later moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area to complete his degree in International Business at Moorhead State.  After graduation, he received an invitation to Guangzhou, China, where he taught an amazingly fun bunch of first and second-graders while receiving Chinese tutoring.  He also acted in Chinese commercials, a mini-series, and was featured on several billboards and catalogs.  There he learned he was better at illustration than acting.  Josh currently lives in beautiful Victoria with his wife Laura and daughter Rissa.
