The Victoria

GAZETTE

June 2012

To the Editor:

Thank you for the article about Deer Run Golf Course winning the WCCO Best  Public Golf Course in Minnesota award.  I wasn't expecting it, but was thrilled to see it.  We're very proud of DRGC and want to share that pride with Victoria.  We're all on the same side.

To the Editor:

Thank you for the story.  I got the paper from Janie last weekend.  I love it.  I can't believe you wrote so much about us.  My mom will get a copy for Mother's Day, which is two weeks later in Poland.  Thank you so very much.  You are special.  I hope I can do something for you in the future.  Hugs and smiles.

To the Editor:

I just sent the issue of the Gazette that you mailed to me, to my mother.  She will be shocked to see herself on the front page of an American newspaper!!!  As I said, this is perfect timing since Mother's Day in Poland is two weeks later.  Thank you again and again.  You are a miracle for me.

To the Editor:

Hi.  I was reading through the Gazette during my lunch break today.  The Yellowstone Trail article was interesting.  I actually met with the Ridges [John and Alice] when they stopped through here a couple of years ago.  Terry Hartman is also a local expert on the trail.

The part that really struck me as funny was the mention of Gascoyne, North Dakota (current population 12), where I lived from the ages of 3-5.  Two of those 12 people are my cousin Colby and his wife who now live in my Great Aunt Sadie's house across the street from the house where my great uncle and aunt lived (Mervin and Phyllis).

To the Editor:

Thank you for another year of a great paper.  I think it's the only bargain around.  Enjoy your editorials the most.  Found the fishhook for once:)  It was in Addie's excellent drawing.  Gone from Chaska since 1980.

To the Editor:

You are greatly admired and appreciated by all who know you and enjoy your wonderful paper.  Thank you.

To the Editor:

I heard you might be able to help with getting an announcement into the Victoria Gazette.  I've attached a photo and a quick write-up from our recent tournament wins in Blaine and Cottage Grove.  Please feel free to make changes and let me know if you have any questions or need any further details.

To the Editor:

Thank you for the many years of helping to make Victoria such a special place.  We love getting the Gazette and have enjoyed reading it since we moved to Deer Run, next to Kelly and Margaret Hanson, in the spring of 1993.  It's also such a treat when the young athletes and students throughout our great little city get written up in the paper.

My grandmother used to say, "It's impossible to be unhappy, if you are truly thankful."  So true.  We are truly thankful for you and the Gazette and what it means to our community.
