BIRTHDAYS AND A 60TH ANNIVERSARY.  On Sunday, January 8th, 2017, we celebrated my wife's 78th birthday.  She was born December 19th, 1938.  She still looks 39 to me.  A very loyal wife raising four kids when just 25.  We also celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary and dined at a popular Uptown restaurant where my daughter Jill lives.  I turn 88 on February 1st and she will be doing my favorite German ribs and Saurkraut.  I had a recent fall which caused a delay in celebrations but I recovered well, with just six stitches in my nose.  No hospitals for me.  Just urgent care four days later.  I know now not to go out to Floyd's on icy days, but it's still a great watering hole in Victoria.  Pictured (left to right): Maggie (Nick's girlfriend), grandson Nick, Mal MacAlpine, granddaughter Meghan, daughter Valerie, daughter Jill, wife Lois MacAlpine.
