To the Editor:

Just like in the old song, "As Time Goes By," it sure has.  I saw three people in the August Gazette that I haven't seen in 30 years -- Brian Aretz, Dan Lund, and Tony Raser.

Tony I knew from way back as a kid at Guardian Angels School in the 1970's.  He was a grade ahead of me.  I graduated from 8th grade at GA in 1979, he in 1978.

Brian Aretz and Dan Lund I knew from Chaska High School, also Mike Wartman.  Those three were in my high school class.  It's so weird to see classmates with white hair, guys gone bald, and the crows feet and laugh lines showing up.  I still have not turned white or gray and, nope, I never color it either.

I saw two classmates on my 49th birthday, Lori Wickenhauser (Spaulding) and Chris Lano.  They were amazed I haven't turned gray yet  I couldn't believe seeing Dan Lund and Tony Raser with white hair.  I still remember Dan Lund with wavy blond hair.  Even U.S. Representative Eric Paulsen, another classmate, has gray hair.  I remember him too with wavy blond hair.

I have three Chaska High yearbooks, 1968, 1971, 1972.  The opening of the second high school, which is now Middle School West, was 1968.  I got the yearbooks from a neighbor.  Her husband passed away and she is not from this area so she gave them to me.  I know a lot of people in those too and some of the teachers.  Bob Asmus ("Ozzie") I had in 9th grade Social Studies.  He always had funny stories of when he was younger and other jobs he had.  I enjoyed those stories.

Found the fishhook on the girl's tennis shoe in the KleinBank ad, page 23.

         Always, Kay Meuwissen

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  I don't know if you heard, but the Chanhassen High School is dealing with an unfortunate situation affecting the bleachers at the football stadium.  With the season upon us. many of your readers would be interested to know about this situation.  The high school administration is looking into the options.  This affects several Victoria residents including players, parents, businesses, and fans of Chanhassen High School football.

To the Editor:

I sure miss Fresh Seasons.  Have you heard yet if Victoria will be getting another grocery store?

To the Editor:

I'm sending the photo I promised you.  Pleasure talking to you and your husband Friday night at the Volksfest.  It was another successful and multi-flavored event on Saturday.

To the Editor:

My husband is getting forgetful.  I told him this morning that he left the front door unlocked, the sliding door open, and the hot water running all night.  He said, "Well, at least the pipes didn't freeze."

Found the fishhook on page 23 around the toe of the shoe in the KleinBank ad.
