To the Editor:

Victoria is on the right path and I hope it continues.  I fully support Jim Crowley and Tom Strigel in the upcoming elections.  I think this mayor and council have done a great job and deserve the opportunity to continue.  Make Victoria proud and make your vote count.

To the Editor:

We are writing to express our support for Tom Strigel as he runs for re-election to the Victoria City Council.  We know Tom to be a committed, diligent, and intelligent individual who has fulfilled his duties as a councilman for the last four years in a responsible and professional manner.

Tom has brought both leadership and stewardship to the City of Victoria.  As Victoria continues to grow and evolve, Tom's leadership and sense of personal responsibility as a steward for the City of Victoria will help the City manage its environmental, financial, and community resources to the benefit of its residents.

Please join us in support of Tom Strigel for City Council on November 4th.

To the Editor:

We confidently endorse Tom Strigel for another four-year term on the Victoria City Council.  Tom earned an engineering degree from the University of Minnesota, is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and currently is in the position of leadership as a general manager, responsible for corporate business discipline, decisions, and solutions.  He excels in areas of analytical thinking, conservative fiscal insight, and in listening to the citizens of Victoria.

Tom's well known commitment to accountability in government promotes an atmosphere of openness in government finance and communication.  If you want to see honest people in government, join us in supporting Tom Strigel for City Council.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  I want the citizens of Victoria to know how proud I am of the current direction being taken in Victoria.  Having participated in numerous meetings at City Hall over the past 13 years, I always wondered why we had such a substandard facility.  I thought it was embarrassing to not have an up to date facility.  Then we had an opportunity to tour the Public Works building and City Hall.  These two facilities are not only embarrassing, they are disrespectful to our city employees.

I want to thank our current City Councilmembers and Mayor for the courage to approve the construction of these new facilities despite questionable opposition.  If voters are proud of the current direction being taken, please support the incumbents for city council in the upcoming election so we can continue the progress.  Thank you.

To the Editor:

I am writing you today in support of our mayor, Tom O'Connor, and Victoria City Councilmembers Tom Strigel and Jim Crowley.  As a 21-year resident of this wonderful city, I have seen some good, well-intentioned people trying to serve and anticipate the needs of our city.  These three gentlemen epitomize the qualities necessary for us to carry forward the positive growth and administration of our city government.

I urge Victoria residents to vote this November, and to vote in support of the incumbents.  We need to support and encourage those that have us on the right track.  Please vote for Strigel and Crowley on  November 4th.

To the Editor:

For the first time, 13 Minnesota utilities are teaming up to fight back against customer scams.  Phone and email scams targeting Minnesota utility customers are increasing at an alarming rate, representing thousands of dollars lost by unsuspecting customers.

At news conferences in Minneapolis and Duluth, Minnesota utilities will launch "Slam the Scam," an awareness campaign aimed at warning customers, exposing scammers' tactics, and preventing scams.  Representatives from participating utilities and the MN Better Business Bureau will discuss the scamming trend and how customers can protect themselves.
