To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Wondering if you had a chance to read the Minneapolis paper on Wednesday, March 28th. There was an interesting article about the Andrew Peterson Farm/Rock Isle Farm that I wrote about for your April issue of the Gazette. To the Editor: Thank you so much for the page in last month's Gazette. Strange that some folks wondered which one I was -- the one from Victoria or the one from Poland. Oh well, and the funniest thing of all was the many smart comments about me being the Buddha in Kim Heenie's article. Do I have the round tummy or the long arm of outreach? We're very proud of her. Kurt Zuppke Laketown Township, Minnesota To the Editor: You know that long anticipated Hwy 5 road improvement project? Well, it's here. While the work that'll most affect traffic won't begin for a few weeks, there are two lane closures you should know about. Beginning on Monday, April 30th: *The right-turn lane from westbound Hwy 5 to northbound Hwy 41 will be closed on weekdays only. The official detour will lead you northbound on Co. Rd. 13/Rolling Acres Rd. to eastbound Hwy 7 and back to Hwy 41. *The right-turn lane from northbound Hwy 41 to eastbound Hwy 5 will close. Sorry, but we can't keep this turn lane open on the weekends. The official detour will direct you along Co. Rd. 18/Lyman Blvd and Co. Rd. 117/Galpin Blvd. *Both closures could begin as early as 12:01 a.m. Monday, April 30th. *Both lanes will reopen Tues. May 15. J.P. Gillach MN Department of Transportation
