I'm not what you'd call an avid fisherman.  It's not that I hate fishing.  Anytime that I've ever gone fishing, it's been a good experience -- except that one time up in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area where we had to paddle our own canoe and I got devoured by mosquitoes including on my face to the point where I swelled up so bad I was practically blinded and so miserable and itchy and besides that we never caught any fish so we had to keep eating dried food that we added lake water to so it would turn into macaroni and cheese or hash or pea soup because you can't fry fish for supper if don't catch fish so don't ask me what kind of fish inhabit the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, but the experience certainly cured me of roughing it in the wilderness and experiencing nature in the boonies which is why the rest of our vacations these past 40 years do not include roughing it and one other time did it include fishing and that was when Allan and Darel Geske caught an untold number of tuna in the Pacific Ocean off the island of Kauai.

Now where was I!  Oh, yes, on the beaches of Hawaii, getting a suntan, just  like that gal in the KleinBank ad on page 9 in the April issue of the Gazette.  Maybe you noticed there was a fishhook entangled on the aluminum tube of her lawn chair.  That's where I hid it and that's where many of you found it, including Leona Pierson of Chaska, whose name was drawn from the minnow bucket to win the $10 prize.  Congratulations, Leona.  I wonder if you're related to the people for whom Piersons Lake is named.

I hid another fishhook in this issue of the Gazette.  Don't make any presumptions in looking for it, and that's all the clue I'm going to give you!!  If you find it, drop a line to P.O. Box 387, Victoria, MN 55386 telling of its location and sinker in the mail, or use Sue@VictoriaGazette.com.  All entries are placed in the minnow bucket until the drawing occurs at the end of the month.  Good luck, and keep your powder dry, which is good advice whether or not you're an avid fisherman.
