SHARE THE FUN. 4H'ers from Carver County participated on Friday, May 5th, in the annual Share the Fun program at Central High School Auditorium in Norwood Young America. The program is a talent and skit event that involves all ages of youth, K through post high school. A total of four acts performed. CHAMPIONS AT EDINA. The Chanhassen Storm 12A Blue baseball team beat Eden Prairie 8-7 to clinch the tournament championship on Sunday, May 14th. TRACK AND FIELD DAY. Fifth graders from Victoria Elementary School enjoyed a day of track and field events at Chaska High School in May. FREE BIRDWATCHING EVENT. The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District, in partnership with Three Rivers Park District, is hosting a free birding evening from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, June 3rd, at the Lowry Nature Center in Victoria. All ages are welcome. Activities include guided birdwatching hikes, live raptors, kids' activities, as well as a bird songs and sounds station. Registration is required at www.minnehahacreek.org/50. CONGRATULATIONS, FRANK HEENIE. We were so honored Monday night, May 22nd, to watch Frank receive a scholarship from the Victoria Lions at Waconia High School. ►TOURNAMENT WINNERS AT BLOOMINGTON. The Chanhassen 14AA team is off to a great start, winning the Bloomington Tournament the weekend of May 12th. They tied Plymouth/Wayzata, then went on to win games against Spring Lake Park, Prescott, Richfield, and Spring Lake Park again for the championship.
