Dedicated to the sunshine of truth,

the moonshine of meeting deadlines,

and the starshine of Victoria.

To the Editor:

Hi, Grandma.  For our field trip we went to the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence.  We saw both of the rivers.  It was very cool.  Merriwether Lewis and William Clark arrived at this spot in northwestern North Dakota on April 25th, 1805.

To the Editor:

The story you re-ran last month on Lois Boll reminded me of the Victoria baseball team of the early '50s.  Euch Wartman played third.  They had an import (from Chanhassen, I believe) at short.  Phabe Wartman was the second baseman, and Bede Boll was the first baseman.  Bede could hit -- for power and average -- but he was slow a-foot, inspiring one dedicated fan to lament ... "if only they could let Bede hit and Lois run for him!"  The humor of the remark has stayed with me these many years, and came back to me as I read your article on Lois.

I was delighted to see you promoting Carson for President.  He speaks fearlessly for the Constitution and traditional Christian culture.  Too many public figures are afraid of attacks from the modern culture.  Not Carson and, I might add, nor Jindal.

Except for short-term memory and a gimpy right leg, I'm in good health and expecting to make it to December 13th and 100 years on planet earth.  God has indeed been good to me.  Our Guardian met me in the dining room and put me under obedience to stay healthy.  It's a command that I plan to fulfill at least until December 13th ...  all of which reminds me that I do not feel as old as I look in the picture with John and Joyce Heiland in the May issue of the Gazette.  For the sake of safety, I still have to use a walker, and I tire easily, but all my bodily functions are performing normally.  I don't think our Guardian, Father Mike Fowler, has to fear that I will violate his command.

To the Editor:

Intended on writing a letter but time got away from me.  We just returned home from a month in Europe, three weeks in France and a week in Romania.

I am sorry I am so late sending this subscription check.  Think of you often, remembering so many good times with you.  Still have class and style.  God bless you and Al and kids.  Love ya.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  Is it possible to get an electronic copy of the article featuring the presentation by the Urban Land Institute to the Victoria City Council and Staff that appears in the June 2015 edition of the Gazette?  I'd like to share it with other commissions around the county.  Thank you much.

To the Editor:

Hello, Sue.  It was such a treat to run into you at the Classic Car Night last night.  Wasn't it a perfect evening for such an event?  It was actually my first time to attend the CCN and I had such a nice time that I will surely be back.

Earlier yesterday I met with Andrew Heger with the Victoria Fire Department to discuss designing a sign to promote their vintage fire truck.  They have limited information and I was hoping you would be able to help me track down some of the story behind the purchase, use, and transformation of the truck.

Any pictures and information you have would help fill in the gaps and would be so much appreciated.

To the Editor:

Taste of Minnesota in Waconia will soon be here, and our Lake Auburn congregation, together with the Waconia Moravian Church, will staff a beverage booth as a fundraiser for the Mission to Nepal.  We are looking for volunteers.  By working a three-hour shift, you get into the Taste of MN free for that entire day.  Many thanks and every blessing.
