Our daughter’s family keeps a fish tank with various characters calling it home, including Goldie whom I’ve mentioned before in this column. Goldie started out peanut-size and is now the size of a sunfish that you wouldn’t throw back in the lake. So Mother Jenny says to Son Gunnar, “Looks like he’s about big enough for supper. Maybe Dad will filet him for us.” The look on Gunnar’s face brought Jenny to laughter, which revealed to him the tongue in cheekness of the Goldie for supper suggestion. Little Gunnar, age 5, had fallen for it hook, line, and sinker!

The fishhook was hidden last month in the June bug of the Jerry Chapman ad on page 26. Out of all the entries swimming around in the minnow bucket, I could only pick one and it was Colleen Alberit of Excelsior. The ten bucks will be on its way soon, Colleen! Congratulations.
