To the Editor:

I want to congratulate you on reaching your recent milestone in journalism.  The Victoria Lions Club is very appreciative of your support over the years.

To the Editor:

In the current state of the economy, we feel you might be interested to know that Victoria Elementary School found a low cost alternative to playground structures that adds 100 colorful game markings to the playground, creating an adventure park feel.  The PTA at Victoria Elementary will be painting the playground over the summer for the kids.  You could contact the school principal to attend the paint day for footage and story.  We’ve attached a press release and would be happy to assist you in any way possible.

To the Editor:

Congratulations on your 30th anniversary.  That’s quite an accomplishment, especially in such a transitory society.  Obviously, it’s a labor of love.  I hope you can do it for another 30 years.  Best wishes.

To the Editor:

Congratulations on your 30 years of wonderful “News Writings.”  Your picture on the June front page looks like a teenager.  The fishhook is on page 11 on the Macken-thun’s chopping block.  Oops, he almost hit it!  Happy Fourth of July, everyone.

To the Editor:

In the last Gazette you thanked all the people who have contributed to the Gazette, but made no mention of the contribution your editorship has given:  a complete and detailed history of the town of Victoria, covering persons, places, events, and bringing it alive with a multiplicity of pictures.  It’s an historical treasure-trove for Victoria.  The town is deeply indebted to you, little girl.

For me personally, your editorship provides a breath of fresh air -- no “multi-culturalism,” no “inclusiveness,” no “global warming,” no moral liberalism.  Thanks much, Sue.  Hang in there.

To the Editor:

Would you help us notify members of the 1979 graduating class at Chaska High School that we will be having a 30-year class reunion on Friday, July 24th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.  It will be held at Vic’s Bar and Grill (formerly Schmitty’s) located along Stieger Lake in downtown Victoria.  It should be a great time and we look forward to seeing everyone.  Think ‘70’s music, ‘70’s drinks, and ‘70’s dancing.
