The Oldest Store.  This is a picture of the inside of the old wooden building in Victoria that was known as a hardware store.  (It was located in what is currently the parking lot for the Notermann Building.)  I’m the little guy with my father Frank.  This building also housed the Diethelm and Diethelm first grocery store in Victoria, as I’m told.  I bought the building from Schneider and Notermann, Jim and John, in 1954.  This picture was taken about 1942 or so.  I was ten years old.
