SCHOLARSHIP FOR EMILY PATE.

         Emily Pate of Victoria was awarded the UPHA Arabian Breed Equitation College Scholarship on January 17th in Savannah, Georgia.  She was awarded a $2,500 college scholarship at the UPHA (United Professionals Horse Association) Annual Awards Banquet.

         Emily rides and competes for Cedar Ridge Arabians in Jordan, MN.  The scholarship award is judged on her riding competitions, fundraising, and volunteering.

         This year Emily raised funds for Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.  She volunteered numerous hours at a variety of charities, such as Feed My Starving Children, church charities, donating her time at Cedar Ridge Arabians, helping with the horses, and assisting children with their horse lessons. 

         Emily is a 15-year old freshman at Minnetonka High School.

3RD PLACE AT RICHFIELD.  Chaska Chanhassen Bantam B took 3rd place in the Richard Spartan Classic Tournament held in Richfield the weekend of January 9th.  The team beat Champlin Park 5-4, lost a close hard fought game to Woodbury 0-1, and defeated Farmington 4-2. 1ST PLACE AT BLOOMINGTON.  ►

The Chaska Chanhassen PeeWee B1 hockey team took 1st place in the Bloomington PeeWee Showdown tournament at the end of December, in overtime against St. Louis Park.  It was very exciting.  They played Burnsville, St. Louis Park, Eastview, and Forest Lake.

◄3RD PLACE AT HOPKINS. 

         Chanhassen Boys 5A basketball took 3rd place in the Hopkins Tournament January 10th/11th .  They played Hopkins, Shakopee, and St. Louis Park for the 3rd place win.
