NEW AT ISLAND VIEW.  Our remodel job is done and it looks great.  Come see it for yourself, rich new wood, new backdrop behind the bar, flat screen TV's, new light fixtures, new flooring.  You'll love it.

TOP PERFORMING AGENTS. Nan Emmer, center, of Victoria, and Bev Martin, far right, were recently recognized for their outstanding 2013 sales performance at their company awards presentation event held on March 25th.  Nan and Bev were the top individual sales associates in dollar volume of sales for 2013 in the Eden Prairie office.  Their performance qualified them for membership in the International Diamond Society, an elite group that includes the top 11% of all Coldwell Banker sales associates internationally.

Nan, a resident of Victoria, specializes in real estate in Chanhassen, Chaska, Minnetonka, and Victoria, with a special focus on her Deer Run neighborhood.  Bev is a resident of Waconia and specializes in real estate sales in southwest suburbs.

"These women are outstanding real estate professionals," said Irene Levy, branch vice president of Coldwell Banker Burnet's Eden Prairie office.  "They have the knowledge and dedication to achieve success in today's rapidly changing real estate market.  I'm delighted to recognize the success they have achieved on behalf of their buyers and sellers."

A BLACK SQUIRREL played in our backyard last week, but mostly he chased two gray squirrel around and around and up and down.  The last time I saw a black squirrel was in Indian River, Michigan, where all the squirrels are black.  ~Editor Sue, Victoria

CABIN VIEW.  This is a view from our cabin porch earlier this winter, looking toward the lake.  Our cabin is on the west shoreline of Shoal Lake which is in Voyager Village, at Danbury, Wisconsin.

BOAT DESIGN.  The role of the boat industry and other private sector partners in preventing the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species in our lakes was the topic of a symposium in March at the Kelly Inn in St. Paul where the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District and the MN Association of Watershed Districts presented the forum in partnership with the Water Sports Industry Association, the MN Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center, and Tonka Bay Marina.  Boat manufacturers and other private sector partners are playing a critical role in finding long term solutions.
