Victoria Halloween Party. Saturday, October 26th, 3 to 5 p.m. on Tower Boulevard in Downtown Victoria. Games, guests, photo-op, tricks and treats.

Grandparents Day. Friday, October 11th, at Holy Family Catholic High School. After morning classes and activities, students and grandparents will be having lunch at Victoria restaurants.

School Referendum. Tuesday, November 5th. Victoria residents and Laketown Township residents vote at the Victoria Elementary School, 9300 Red Fox Drive, in Victoria. Polls open at 8 a.m.

Columbus Day. Monday, October 13th. It became a federal holiday in 1937 though people celebrated Columbus' voyage since the colonial period. Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas on October 12th, 1492.

City Council Meetings. Monday, November 14th and Monday, November 28th, the second and fourth Mondays. Council meetings start at 6:30 p.m.
