To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  The time has come to say so long.  Now that we are integrated into our new home, we bid adieu to the Gazette.  Thanks for the memories.

         Love,

To the Editor:

I think our puzzle for May is very cute, too.  Among my favorites.  I was reading about the Yellow Brick Road on Wikipedia, and Chaska is not listed as one of the cities having a Yellow Brick Road.  I'll have to work with Wikipedia to get that oversight corrected.  I even have a picture of the street signage from Chaska.  That picture should go into Wikipedia as well.

The Swedish Choir performing at Mount Olivet West Campus in Victoria on March 28th was fantastic.  The volunteers who took some of the kids for an overnight, mostly from Carver County, were fantastic as well.  We had two guys who were most happy that they were no longer teenagers.  They had just turned 20.  The couch in our living room folds into a bed.  The last time the couch had been used for sleeping was for two guys from Ireland who were part of the University of Minnesota MAST program.  A big thank you to all the volunteers who took several choir members into their homes.

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe what a wonderful editor and newspaper you give to us.  God love you and yours forever.  Many thanks.

To the Editor:

As usual your April issue of the Gazette was great.  I especially liked the story and pictures on the South.  I have spent time in Charleston and toured Boone Hall and other plantations in the area.  Many years ago, while accompanying my husband on a business trip, we drove to Stone Mountain from Atlanta.  That is such a neat place and I am surprised lots of people have not heard of it.  Even though I am not a "local," I enjoy reading your newspaper.

EDITOR'S NOTE:  I would say, Marci, that Waconia is pretty "local."  The Gazette has many subscribers outside of Victoria and also outside of Minnesota.  Thank you for writing, local reader☺

To the Editor:

I hope all is well with you on this sunny day.  As always, we would welcome your attendance and camera as well on Discover Victoria Day, Saturday, May 17th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Victoria Recreation Center.  I really enjoyed your article on Savannah last month.  It was so fun to see pictures of places I had just seen, too.  We put it on our list of places we would definitely go back to.

To the Editor:

The reportage of your Tioga visit to  Jenny and Chris, the oil exploration in the Bakken field, and your visit from the Deep Freeze to the Deep South (what flowering splendour and nice parks) is remarkable.  You are a good ambassador of your country.  Und, mein Lieber Gott, Sue, you have in your country more fuel for heating and for your cars as we have here in Europe.  I told Josee, taking into account our age and our gas prices, we should better thinking of buying for us both, two bicycles running on batteries.  Do exist here!

My garden is complete okay -- magnolias, camellias (white and red), daffodils, tulips.  All is flowering.  In the little vegetable garden, the sowed grains come out.  But for the moment it is too dry and we need some rain.
