Victoria Moments Continued

Judd Thomas Pauly.  Big brother Dane, along with his parents Jason and Dr. Becky Pauly of ABC Family Chiropractic in Victoria, welcomed Judd Thomas Pauly into their family on December 31st, 2009, at 6:49 a.m.  He weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and was 19 inches long.  He was born at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.  Grandparents are Terry and Judy Jensen of Beresford, SD, and Harold and Eileen Pauly of Redwood Falls, MN.  Great grandparents are Sophus and Marge Jensen and Bonnie Hustrulid, all of Beresford, SD., and Marie Pauly of Cold Spring, MN.

My 4th grade class at Victoria Elementary School created a video about Haiti and the earthquake for our school to view and raised $1,381.96 to send to the American Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders.  The class wanted to help Haiti relief efforts and came up with the idea of putting together a video presentation for the whole school.  The video did a fantastic job of giving factual information about the country of Haiti and the earthquake that devastated the nation on January 12th, 2010.  This service project is not complete.  The kids recognize from Hurricane Katrina that the relief efforts will be ongoing, and that once the story fizzles out in the news, the need for help will still be there.  Many of the students will be watching closely, helping again in the future.
