Happy 80th Birthday, Dee Schrempp.

From your children and grandchildren.

Mary Isenburg of Victoria has joined New Dimension Media as Director of Instructional Technology for Minnesota.  Isenburg will meet personally with educators throughout the state to demonstrate the features and benefits of New Dimension Media’s CCC!, a video on demand system that instantly connects educators with high quality, standards-based video content they can use in the classroom to augment their lessons.

Prior to this position, Mary was a 21st Century Assessment Specialist with Eden Prairie High School where she assisted teachers in creating and upgrading student assessments.  Prior to that she was an Instructional Technology Specialist in the School District of Oconee County, Walhalla, South Carolina, and taught social studies at West Oak High School, Westminster, South Carolina.  Mary received her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame and her Indiana Certification for Secondary Education from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana.

Kaylagh Hollen, a student at Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria, signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer and attend classes at the University of Northern Michigan in Marquette.  Kaylagh is the daughter of Chris and Jonie Hollen of Victoria, also pictured above.

Dancing to State.  The Fire Dance Team from Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria continues its dominance again this year with their sixth trip to the Minnesota State Dance Meet, after finishing in the top two in the section.  Holy Family has already won two state titles this decade.

Dancing for Holy Family this year are (front, l-r) Meghan Dolan (Chanhassen), Nikki Elliot (Chanhassen), Whitney Nelson (Carver), Becky Schaffran (Chaska).  Back:  Rachel Weigel (Chanhassen), Krista Stanoch (Victoria), Caroline Morgan (Eden Prairie), Kristine Kubsiak (Chanhassen).

The Target Center was alive Friday, Feburary 12th, with music and thousands of screaming fans at the State Dance Championships.  Holy Family was hoping to add a third dance championship in the decade, but it wasn’t to be as the Fire finished 7th.  St. Cloud Cathedral went on to win the AA Jazz meet with Benilde St. Margaret’s closely behind them.

Holy Family Coach Deanna Tetner was very proud of the effort that the girls put out this season.  Holy Family will be graduating several dancers this spring and will look to start a new decade of dance domination next season.
