To the Editor:

Dick and I read the Gazette and are amazed at the changes that have taken place in Victoria since we left.  It was always a wonderful place.  We treasure the memories of our seven years there.  Just think, today I wouldn’t have to drive to Chanhassen or Eden Prairie to grocery shop!

I have a certain amount of pride in how those Hartman boys have used their talents.  They were so young when I worked for Marv Hartman Construction.  I remember Terry coming to work just out of high school and Marv asking me to teach him how things were done in the office.  Terry was, and is, brilliant.  He took to that business like a duck out of water.  I remember telling Dick that Terry was going to set the world on fire.

I also remember Carver Park.  I remember you and I walking the trails and then going to Cathy Webster’s cafe for lunch.  I remember her kraut and ribs.  Sure don’t get that kinda food down here in the south.

I have watched Jenny’s kids grow through Sue’s Album online.  I have “gone with you” on your trips and cruises and have seen family celebrations as your lives unfold on your website.  The  photos and descriptions warm my heart.  And now you are going to have another grandbaby this coming year.

It was with great sadness that I read of Germaine’s passing.  Isn’t it wonderful that you had the gift of her friendship all those years and that you now have the good memories.

Since my heart attack I see the world through different eyes.  I no longer take for granted the little things.  They are the stuff that makes life worth it all.  I have learned that if you care about someone, let them know.  If you are angry, let go of it and go on to bigger and better things to use your thoughts and time for.

Thanks for being my friend through the years, Sue.  You left a mark on my soul.  I am glad I know you.  Hugs to Allan from me, and a hi from Dick.  Love ya.

To the Editor:

I told my husband Mike that you were going to stop in and he said I should invite you to have one of our great burgers.  So let me know when you might stop in and I will be sure to be there to buy you lunch or dinner.  Thank you to you and your paper for helping us build our business.

To the Editor:

I just wanted to say thank you for your lovely editorial and the beautiful photos and funny quotes of Mom in the last Gazette.  I cried and laughed.  It is truly a keepsake for us.  Your adventures together gave Mom such a spark and a lot to talk and laugh about.  I know some of her most fun times were suppers at your house, and with Father Elstan too.  We carry her spirit in us as we cherish her love, acceptance, and joy.

To the Editor:

On behalf of our third grade Girl Scout Troop #13277, we would like to thank Fresh Seasons Market in Victoria for helping us collect toys for the Toys for Tots program.  With Fresh Seasons help we collected several boxes full of toys.  We are so happy to be able to help support such a wonderful program and to have the support of a local business.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  Thank you for the nice editorial and pictures of Mom that you included in the last issue of your paper.  Also, in case we missed anyone, we would like to thank everyone for their condolences, memorials, thoughts, and prayers at the time of Mom’s passing.

         Sincerely,
