Drama Queens. Orchids are the drama queens of the plant world and will soon be on display in all their splendor at the MN Landscape Arboretum.  The variety of exquisite orchids to be featured are all grown by renowned orchid expert Jerry Fischer and his Orchids Limited Greenhouse of Plymouth.

With over 37,000 species and more than 150,000 hybrids, orchids belong to the most diverse family of plants known to man.  They are also extremely adaptable, growing in tundra, rainforest, desert, and swamps, as far north as Alaska and as far south as New Zealand.  More than 45 types of orchids grow natively in Minnesota.
