The news never ceases to amaze me. Most likely you could say the same thing, since news is broadcast 24/7 for 35 years now and it’s got to be amazing to a lot of people or it wouldn't have continued and expanded to so many channels. It started in 1980 with CNN. At the beginning I thought it was an intriguing novelty and even welcomed it. I was never a fan of morning game shows and afternoon soap operas, which was the fare back then. Maybe it still is. Also, who doesn't want to be informed? No longer did I have to make an effort to watch the 6 o'clock news in the evening or the 10 o'clock news at night. News was always available and so I could tune in whenever it suited me. I've probably come to tune in way too often over the years. It's addicting. You would think that with so much news available 24/7 on so many channels, that everybody would know everything. But I've come to see that the audience is dumber today than they've ever been, about many things. It would be more politically correct for me to say that many people are "less informed" today rather than "dumber," but I've never been fond of political correctness. I'm in favor of charitable honesty. Maybe you don't think it's charitable for me to use the word dumb. But you would have to agree that it's much more charitable than a lot of other words. Part of the reason for dumb and dumber audiences is that some news media are barely reporting or mis-reporting certain information. It's been going on for a long time, but it's getting worse. Another reason for dumb and dumber is that some people choose not to see, hear, or read the information that is available to them. It's hardly excusable to be uninformed today, but many are. In this past month of July 2015, the news evoked an unusual amount of horror and disgust across the nation. I'm talking about Planned Parenthood and the videos of them discussing how to keep a baby's body parts intact during or after an abortion and arranging for the sale of those body parts. They cut out the little baby heart and the little baby liver and other little baby things and sell them. The latest video, the fifth one, reveals that Planned Parenthood also harvests and sells intact baby bodies to be used for dissection. Cadavers get the most money. Some news media aren't reporting this ongoing story, or they only touch on it and slap it away as though it were a mosquito. Some news people are saying that the undercover videos revealing the harvesting and selling of baby parts and baby bodies have been edited, which is true, of course. They've been edited down from three hours to three minutes. The entire unedited, shocking videos are available online. Some news people justify the harvesting and selling of baby parts because otherwise they would "go to waste." How does one develop that diseased train of thought! At the same time, they spend an exorbitant amount of time talking about the Eden Prairie dentist who killed a lion in an African safari. The networks and their blinded audience would have that dentist hunted and killed, but they have little or nothing to say about the doctors at Planned Parenthood. They speak not of the dying and dead human babies that are dissected like frogs in a high school biology class. Maybe you are part of the population that doesn't know Planned Parenthood isn't about planning parenthood. It is about destroying parenthood. It is the largest abortion provider in the nation and now we have proof that they also harvest baby parts and baby cadavers and sell them. A more apt title for the organization would be Planned Murder and Dismemberment. They complain that the videos are putting their employees in danger, never mind the babies. Such darkness of mind. Do you know that our federal tax dollars are funding Planned Murder and Dismemberment? Do you care? Which news channels are you choosing to watch? Are you part of the dumb and dumber crowd? Why do some people allow themselves to be swindled out of the truth about Planned Murder and Dismemberment? When I think of that organization and their leaders, and the politicians who support them with braggadocio, many words come to mind. Here are a few of them: despicable, evil, vile, wicked, depraved, dishonorable, detestable. The same goes for the news outlets who help cover up the abominations. And their audience is dumb and dumber. They all live under a blanket together with a huge cow pie and keep each other company. The manure has affected their mentality and they don't know how bad they've come to stink. Or do they? |
