To the Editor: Hi! I ran across your paper while I was strolling through the Chaska Library. And it occurred to me that I should adver-tise in your publication. Is it too late for the November issue? I am a new business (municipal ISP) targeting small towns and Cologne is my first town. Thanks. Shawn Sprengeler via email
To the Editor: Good morning. I am the Booster Club Secretary for Classic Gymnastics Team in Chanhassen, taking over for Bonnie Koehnen. As Bonnie did in the past, I will be submitting articles with regard to the meets the girls have com-peted in. Thank you so much for includ-ing past and future articles in your news-paper. It really means a lot to the girls. Elizabeth Kressler Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: People have been asking about how they can help with our annual Thanksgiv-ing mission trip to the orphanage. When-ever we travel over to Hungary, we always receive requests from missionaries like Carol and Rob Greathouse for items that cannot be bought in Europe. Carol Greathouse visited Water-brooke Fellowship and spoke at our ser-vice last February. The Greathouses are an integral part of our mission, as they provide inexpensive and convenient hous-ing, meals, transportation, translation, and other critical services for us when we arrive in Hungary. I am sending out this request in case people might be interested in helping pur-chase or contribute cash for items that have been asked for. Rob Greathouse is in need of a set of Craftsman Professional Drill Bits (for both wood and cement). In Hungary, you are your own handyman. Carol Guest-house ministry involves a lot of cooking and baking for ministries in transit and for the needy Hungarians she helps, so she is requesting peanut butter, brown sugar, boxed brownie mixes, and chocolate chips. Please drop off your items to the Eatons at 250 West Point Drive, Tonka Bay, MN 55336. Thank you. Gina Eaton Waterbrooke Fellowship Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Just wanted to get some publicity for our upcoming German student exchange program at Chaska High School and the Pioneer Ridge Freshmen Center. There are 23 students and 2 teachers coming to us from Germany. They arrive on October 15th and fly back to Germany on November 4th. They will be staying with families of my pres-ent and former students learning German. They attend some classes and field trips. My students and I will return next summer to Ingolstadt, Germany, and stay with the families of the students and teachers we've hosted to complete the exchange. Danke. Patti Roepke, German Teacher School District 112
To the Editor: I enjoyed John Michael Talbott's concert last night. I saw you going out the door afterwards as my friend and I were sipping our beverage. First time I was in your new church. A marvelous piece of architecture. Ethel Ausink Senior Citizens Reporter
To the Editor: In your last (October) issue of the Gazette, your Senior Correspondent, Ms. Ausink, wrote that public schools have more psychologists on the payroll than teachers. I know we have a free press, but that statement is ridiculous and should be corrected in your next issue. Dick Tirk Chaska, Minnesota
EDITOR'S NOTE: Ethel was speaking facetiously, if not literally. She believes teachers , unwittingly or not, have come to affect the mental state of mind of children in our schools, more than their academic state of mind, by accommodat-ing a new kind of thinking that is coordin-ated to fit a specific worldview. When minds (attitudes and values) are affected in that manner, it is perhaps more related to psychology than education.
To the Editor: I have an article to submit to the Victoria Gazette for the November issue. I am handling all press releases and infor-mation to the local media now. The article I'm attaching is about rehabilita-tion and the aging population. I have also attached a picture. The family has signed a media release for the picture so do not worry about that. I look forward to work-ing with you on further endeavors. Andy Schultz Good Samaritan Healthcare Campus Waconia, Minnesota
