Letters June 2004 continued

To the Editor:
I just read your story about your impressions of Europe.  It is certainly very interesting to know about the different nations and their customs.  I was there around Luxembourg and Bruxelles many many years ago.  I know what you talk about concerning the fountain of the pipi boy.  I bought one made of copper or some kind of metal.  Welcome home.
We were at Mayo Clinic to prepare my open heart surgery.  They want to replace the valve as it is still too narrow.  It is called severe stenosis of the aortic valve and they will replace it with pig valve.  I had prayed these past two years for the divine pathway for my healing.  I did experience many miracles, but the valve is still the same size.  Hopefully I will be in the perfect Will of God.  The surgery will be at Mayo Clinic in Rochester on the 28th of May.  Must report at 6 a.m. so they will do first an angiogram followed a little later by the surgery.
God bless you.

To the Editor:
Hi, Sue.  Just wanted to share a new business -- First to Visit -- with you.  We are targeting real estate agents, lenders, and builders.  First to Visit is an internet-based company that aims to eliminate the awkwardness that occurs when real estate agents, lenders, and builders ask clients  for referrals.  Enclosed is a mailing we just did to members of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce.
Hope you had a nice vacation.

To the Editor:
Words cannot express our gratitude to you and your wonderful Victoria Gazette.  Your donation to the Victoria Chamber of Commerce is, as always, fabulous.  If we haven't told you so lately, thank you so much for all you do for the Chamber and Victoria.
We're looking forward to another great Touch of Bavaria event on Saturday, September 25th.  The event planning is proceeding well, with much enthusiasm by those involved.
It will be held at the Victoria Field House for the very first time, with our huge tent pitched on the east side of the building.  Food will be provided by the Oak Ridge Conference Center and is a true Taste of Bavaria.  Items will include Wiener Schnitzel, Spaetzle, Apple Braised Red Cabbage, Grilled Bratwurst, Sauer-kraut, Homemade Bavaria Pretzels.  I'm hungry already!
Music will be provided by the Bavarian Musikmeister, a group of approximately 25 musicians.  Anyone want to learn the Schottische?  And ah one, and a two, and away we go!
There will, of course, be a beer wagon, other vendors, and raffle prizes.
We had a lucky 13 members raise their hands at our May 6th Chamber meeting, and we've signed up six more volunteers.  I'm sure a chair-person is getting ready to raise their hand ... please God!
Thanks again for your support.  By the way, I love my job.

To the Editor:
It is that time of year again when we begin gearing up for our summer musical production.  This summer we will be pro-ducing Grease.  Enclosed you will find an audition flyer.  If you can get this into the calendar section of the Gazette before June 14th, we'd greatly appreciate it.
Auditions will be held June 14th and 15th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Chaska Community Center Theater.  Please visit www.CVFT.org for more information.

To the Editor:
On behalf of the CAP Agency, I want to thank the scouts and leaders of the Vic-toria Cub Scout Pack #337 for their involvement in the Scouting for Food Campaign to benefit the CAP Agency Food Shelf in Shakopee.
The Victoria Scouts raised 1,116 pounds of food to help support the local community.  This food will help provide a week's worth of groceries to approximate-ly 40 Scott and Carver County families each day.
Also, I want to acknowledge the members of the community who donated to make this possible.  Thank you for your support of the scouts, the CAP Agency, and local families.

To the Editor:
Guess it's about time again to send my annual subscription check.  Again, I did not receive an envelope in your March issue as others did.  Thanks for a very in-teresting paper.
