To the Editor: My friend Joe Cade has a client who lived in Victoria and has great stories to tell about the town. Call or email Joe if you are interested in interviewing this guy. Joe Cade was on the committee that brought Dan Patch out of the pasture and put his name on the street sign at the State Fair and also started the Dan Patch Historical Museum in Savage. Talk soon. To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I have been intending to write for some time but have kept putting it off. You probably remember that writing was not really one of my favorite things. It has just occurred to me that I've been retired for ten years now. Boy, does time fly. Hardly a day goes by, though, that I don't think of all the great years I had at Victoria. There were so many friendly and pleasant people there. If you print this, be sure to put in that I wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It was good to see the picture of Jenny and her family in your Christmas Gazette. How does it feel to be a grand-mother? By the way, according to Ray and Frannie Schmieg of Victoria, I became a Schmieg by marriage as my granddaugh-ter married their nephew this past sum-mer. Everything is going well with us as can be expected as we seem to be getting older. Enjoy the holidays. Al Folden Former Victoria Postmaster Apple Valley, Minnesota
To the Editor: Happy Holidays to the best and faith-ful editor. Look what I see on page 13, the lucky number! It's the Christmas fishhook in the Valley Pontiac GMC of Waconia ad. God bless. Marie Otten Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: We thank you for your great Gazette. We enjoy reading about Victoria and friends. Sue, your writings are fantastic. Thank you. Dick and Jean Simmnonds Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Season's Greetings and Happy New Year to Sue and her crew and, of course, all of your readers. Congratulations to Uncle Ray and Tante Frannie Schmieg on their retirement (as written in the December Gazette) from lawn mowing at St. Victoria. I imagine they raked a profusion of pine cones and pine branches. It would make lots of wreathes to decorate with fishhooks, like the one on page 22 last month. Happy 2006. Hard to believe this decade is half finished already. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Merry Christmas to you and your family. It's been another great year working with you. Here it's January. We get people from 22 years old to 62 and everyone has fun. Lois Melcher Victoria, Minnesota
