More Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
Writing this letter causes me to pause and reflect.  Many of you have been customers of Main Street Hair Company for as long as 23 years now, which is as long as my salon in Victoria has been open.  During that time I have had the good fortune to meet so many wonderful people, and each of you became a part of my life.  I have always been so grateful for your support and patronage.
In 1998 I opened the Excelsior Bay Spa Salon in Excelsior in a fully re-stored turn of the century home one block from Lake Minnetonka.
After careful consideration and in order to serve each of you the best, I have elected to consolidate both busi-nesses at the Excelsior location as of January 19th, 2001.  It has been a plea-sure for me to serve you in Victoria.  I am very excited about the new possi-bilities for our growing business and have you as a customer in Excelsior.
I extend to each of you an invita-tion to visit our new facility and enjoy a complimentary haircut.  All you need to do is bring this letter with you and present it to the receptionist upon arriv-ing.
The Excelsior Bay Spa Salon has a homey, quaint, calming environment.  We have a great team of hairstylists, estheticians, massage therapists, and nail technicians, and we are only seven miles from Victoria.  We welcome you as the family you have always been to me in Victoria.
Please feel free to contact me personally at 952-474-5005 or via e-mail at kforbord@excelsiorbayspa.com
Thank you again for your support and patronage.  I value my relationships with all of you, and I will look forward to seeing you at the Excelsior Bay Spa Salon.

To the Editor:
Here are suggested Valentine sentiments for that upcoming day:
*Your kisses are sweeter than wine, but without the paper bag.
*My love for you runs hotter than a '74 Nova with a V-8 engine and a busted water pump.
*Size doesn't really matter, honey.  Obviously.
*You're really somethin', and that ain't just the beer talking.
*Darlin', you make me as hot as those hand dryers in a turnpike rest-room.
*If we were cockroaches, I'd want to have all 456,938 of your children.

To the Editor:
Did you know that the United Nations has designated 2001 as the International Year of the Volunteer?  It would be wonderful if your publication would do a feature on volunteers.
At Ridgeview Medical Center, volunteers provide an extra caring touch for our patients and their families.  Volunteers are an important part of the team at Ridgeview, serving in a wide variety of positions at various times of day, days of the week, and locations.  We strive to match the interests, abilities, and time availability of potential volunteers with openings in the various positions.
For more information, contact the Volunteer Services Office at 952-442-2919, ext. 5570.  We would love to talk with you about possibilities.

To the Editor:
I looked all over the Gazette twice for the fishhook and finally found it in Leipold's ad on page 21.  The Gazette is a very good paper and I read every article and study the ads.

To the Editor:
You do a great job hiding that fishhook and really great job on the Gazette.  I found the fishhook in the kerosene lamp of Leipold's ad.

To the Editor:
It was a pleasure meeting you at the last Victoria Chamber of Com-merce meeting, and it was especially nice for you to open your lovely home to all of us.  I am looking forward to working with the Chamber and getting to know all of you better.
I am enclosing a check for my subscription to your newspaper.  Please mail it to the address indicated.  By the way, the fishhook is located on page 21.  What a clever idea!  We had fun looking for it.
