Letters-April 2004 continued

To the Editor:
Hello, Sue.  Can't tell you how much I look forward to getting the Victoria Gazette each month.  I always will recog-nize a name and look to see if I see a familiar face.  I was born in 1933 to Louisa Heutmaker and Val (Heutmaker).   We moved to Chanhassen on a farm when I was five years old, so there's many memories that my mom and dad had back then.  My mom was a Spoerner.  Her parents were Gus and Mildred Spoerner.  Not any of them left that I know of, except cousins maybe.  I lived out of the area until two years ago so I lost touch with a few.
Anyway, I enjoy the articles always in the Gazette.  Thank you, Sue.  You sure do a most remarkable job as publisher and editor.

To the Editor:
Enclosed is my check for $10 to-wards another year of the Gazette.  It is a very good paper which I read from cover to cover while searching for the fishhook.  I found it for March in the Cabin Fever ad on page 6.  Some months you really keep one looking for it!  Thanks.

Please put me on your mailing list again.  I appreciated your free copies.  I did miss your paper.  I should be one of the happy ones to renew once again.  Thank you.  Happy Easter.

Would it be possible to have two copies delivered via the mail to Holy Family Catholic High School, one for the main office and one for our development office?

To the Editor:
Your "From the Editor" review of The Passion of the Christ is succinct and powerful.  I thank you for publicly sharing your faith and perhaps planting a seed in a heart or two.
You're doing a great job with your paper, and your website is a pleasure, especially those pages of your grand-daughter.  Our little Megan is 14 months and pure joy.  Take care.

To the Editor:
Marv and I always enjoy reading about old friends from Victoria.  When we first moved to Victoria in 1976, people were so friendly to us.  Even though we moved to Loretto in 1986, we have re-mained good friends with a lot of them ever since.
When I was hired at the Victoria Post Office by Postmaster Al Folden, I was able to meet so many nice people and probably to this day still remember their post office box numbers!  (Just ask Dale Carroll!)
Just in case any of you get the Star Trib and read about the Hope Grocery Store being planned for Echo, MN, that is our hometown.  The article was in the metro section of the Saturday, March 20th, issue, and my sister and brother in law are Arlo and Donna Zimmer.  Dale just called and told us it was in the paper.
Take care.

To the Editor:
Please renew my subscription for another year.  I also would like a new sub-scription for my friend Alice Liestman.  Alice has a special birthday coming up in April, and I'm sure she will enjoy reading the Gazette.  Happy birthday, Alice.  Thank you, Sue, and have a Happy Easter.

To the Editor:
Enjoyed your pictures of the ice fish-ing contest.  Knew a lot of the people in the pictures, especially the one with the people we very much love.  Thanks for keeping the paper coming.

I love pictures and story about Addie.  She's a dream.  Aren't they great!  Met a Mrs. Olson at a shower for Simon twins to be last Saturday, from Victoria.
