May Day. Friday, May 1st. A traditional day of festivities throughout the centuries. Sometimes May baskets are made and filled with flowers and treats and left at someone's doorstep. The giver rings the bell and runs away.

Lions Spring Fling. Friday, May 1st. Hope you didn't miss it.

Annual Rummage Sale. Biggest in Carver County. At St. Victoria on Thursday and Friday, May 7th and 8th.

Yard Sale at Lake Auburn Church. Saturday, May 30th, from

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mother's Day. Sunday, May 10th. Celebration honoring mothers and motherhood. An American holiday that also came to be celebrated in other countries.

Property Taxes. Friday, May 15th. The first half of property taxes are due each year at this time. Total amount paid includes taxes to Carver County, the School District, the City, and other smaller government entities.

Discover Victoria Day. Saturday, May 16th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Victoria Recreation Center.

Memorial Day. Monday, May 25th. The last Monday in May. A day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. A federal holiday that originated after the American Civil War.

City Council Meetings. Monday, May 11th, and Tuesday, May 26th, at City Hall on Stieger Lake Lane. 6:30 p.m.
