Victoria Gazette-Hook Line & Sinker

We did it again. We went to the Lutefisk Feed at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis on December 6th. Because of the extreme weather and also rush hour traffic, it took us an hour and a half to get there. We surmised they would run out of lutefisk and our trip would be for naught but we were thrilled to see there was plenty left for us. Actually, more people arrived after us and the lutefisk kept coming out of the kitchen into the huge dining hall. Actually, the lutefisk didn't walk on its own; it was carried in large roaster pans by Christmas and Norwegian clad servers. It was then drowned in melted butter and devoured. Mmmmm. It was worth the trip, and also the $17 each. Yes, it's Mount Olivet's biggest fundraiser of the year.

But I can still manage to send $10 to little Faith Gabriel of Victoria who found the fishhook hidden in the December Christmas issue of the Gazette, on page 30, wrapped around the 'k" in the KleinBank ad. Congratulations, Faith. The check for ten dollars should arrive shortly.
