February 2012 |
To the Editor: If there were more people like you in the world, there's be more smiles like mine. Your story about Don's family, "A Room at the Inn," was written up so well. We heard from friends in the Carver and Chaska area who enjoyed it. Many thanks for your hospitality -- we enjoyed being at your home -- and the extra Gazettes and photos for our family members. Don and Joanne Drew Aitkin, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I enjoy all the old pictures you have in your paper. Time to renew. I found the fishhook on page 15 in the Chaska Community Center ad, Food 4 Fun. Carol Weinzierl St. Bonifacius, Minnesota
To the Editor: Happy New Year, Everyone! You put out an assortment of photos on page 33 in the Remember When section of your January issue and asked if we recognized anyone. The man in glasses reminds me of my brother Ben. Maybe the New Year 2012 be good to all. The fishhook is on page 15, Community Center ad. Also can't forget to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. Today, January 9th, as I write to you, is the 6th anniversary of my husband Frank's death. May he rest in peace. Ethel Schneider Shakopee, Minnesota
To the Editor: The Business Development Committee quarterly business meeting will be held on January 24th. Topics will include an update from MnDOT on the Hwy 5 project, perspectives of a Delano business owner, and results of the recently completed communications survey. I would encourage all business owners to participate in this meeting. We also have a new exciting marketing opportunity we'd like to present to the business community. Victoria would be the first in the country to use a rewards program to benefit businesses and community. Randy Miller, Chair Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Due to the response from our first ad in your paper in January, please run it again in February. I'll do a different ad format if we run again in March. Thanks. Kevin Lay, Gina Maria's Pizza Chanhassen, Minnesota
To the Editor: One time there was a girl named Sue and then there was a big fire in town. Then Sue saw it and then she became Super Sue. The end. Love, Gunnar Norgaard XOXOXOXOXO
To the Editor: Would you kindly post an event announcement in your publication as space permits? Memorial Blood Center will have its Bloodmobile in the parking lot of the Chanhassen Dinner Theater on Friday, February 17th, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. I understand that St. Hubert's is doing a blood drive with Memorial Blood Centers the week before ours. MBC encourages those who fall ill and can't make their appointments at St. Hubert's to schedule an appointment at the CDT bloodmobile for the next week when they are feeling better. Nice to give folks some options. We have room for 30 donors. Kris Howland, PR Director Chanhassen Dinner Theatres
EDITOR'S NOTE: In response to my question, Kris Howland replied: "Memorial Blood Center is not at all related to the Red Cross. Memorial Blood Center is Minnesota's largest community blood center and has been in existence for some 60 years or so. Whenever we do blood drives (at least once a year), we work with Memorial Blood Centers."
