The Scoop

at City Hall

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  Happy New Year and many blessings to you and your family.  I just arrived back from Idaho and found my Victoria Gazette waiting for me.  Loved it!  Found the fishhook on page 16 wrapped around the baby’s left leg.  Hope your Christmas was filled with loving fun memories.  Will look for you at St. Victoria.  All good thoughts.

         Cynthia Harris

         Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

I truly enjoy the articles in the Gazette.  It is good to stay up to date and connected to the little town of Victoria.  The fishhook is on page 6 on the baby’s right thigh of the “Upon Reflection” article.

To the Editor:

Thank you very much for your article about the Victoria Bar and Grill in the January 2009 Gazette.  A number of our customers brought it in to show us.  We appreciate being part of the news.  We are ready to advertise but we have to wait until the State approves our license.  I will be in touch as soon as that happens.  Thanks again.

To the Editor:

Want to wish you the best in 2009.  Keep up the good work.  Found the fishhook on page 16 and, as you put it, I’ll sinker in the mail.  Have a nice day and many blessings.

To the Editor:

Happy 2009 to Editor Sue and her crew!  Found your fishhook on the baby’s knee on page 16 in the January Gazette.

I had my first and only snowmobile ride in January of 1975 at a classmate’s birthday party.  It was a cold 5-below trip in a cornfield.  I was frozen stiff.  Then I was walking around in circles with fogged up glasses, runny nose, scarf over my face, totally lost in the yard.  I almost walked into the car where Lori’s mom and the girls were waiting for me.  I sat up front by the heater and was thawed out by the time we were back in town.   Happy 45th Birthday, Lori, and so much for fourth grade memories.

We thank all of the volunteers and donors who once again made our blood drive in Victoria a success.  It was held on Monday, January 19th.  A total of 101 units of blood were donated!  Also, we give a big thank you to the Victoria Lions for all of their help.

To the Editor:

When we received the Gazette yesterday, we were very glad to get it.  We didn’t receive it last month so I thought we’d pay for 2009.  Very interesting paper once again.  Found the fishhook on page 16 on the leg of the little baby.  Thank you.

         St. Bonifacius, Minnesota

EDITOR’S NOTE:  When you don’t receive the Gazette, it’s most likely related to a glitch in the postal service.
