       from Betty Ann Claeys, mother

         Ghent, Minnesota

6 eggs, separated

1/2 tsp cream of tartar

1 lb. powdered sugar

1 (7 oz.) jar of marshmallow creme

Add cream of tartar to the egg whites and beat until stiff  Add powdered sugar, mix thoroughly, and set aside.

Whip egg yolks until thick and add the marshmallow creme, stirring well.

Slowly fold the egg white mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Refrigerate.  Make your Tom and Jerry drink as you normally would make it.

Writes, Mom, "I put 4 tablespoons of the mix into a mug, then add one shot of brandy, one shot of rum, and boiling hot water to the top.  Stir and garnish with a little nutmeg.  This is one Tom and Jerry mix that works for me.  It doesn't curdle!"
