ELEVEN SWANS A SWIMMING.  We have had a group of 11 swans on our lake this fall.  Pierson Lake is stubbornly refusing to freeze over completely.  Consequently, the swans have been taking advantage!

PEACE POSTER WINNERS. The Victoria Lions again participated in the Lions International Peace Poster Contest with the Victoria Elementary School. There are some 350,000 youth ages 11 to 13 worldwide that participate in the contest.  Winning the local contest is the first step in going on to win the International Contest.  The 1st place winning poster was submitted to Lions District 5M2 competition.  The purpose of the contest is to emphasize the importance of world peace to young people everywhere.

MINNESOTA REVOLUTION GIRLS

Three teammates from the Minnesota Revolution, attending Bauer-Emerson Prep Academy, move forward with their hockey and academic futures as they sign letters of intent with key Division I schools.

Emily Antony (left), forward from Plymouth, MN, will attend Minnesota State University-Mankato.

Shelby Brossar (center), defense from Grand Fords, ND, will attend University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Katie Lynch (right), forward from Victoria, MN, will attend Brown University at Providence, Rhode Island.

These are the inaugural signings for the Revolution program and Bauer-Emerson Academy -- an impressive feat for the young program and the first for the Academy.  Classmates, coaches, and parents joined them in celebrating this historic occasion with a special signing ceremony on November 19th at the school.

Katie Lynch is one of only 11 female high school seniors statewide to sign with a Division I college, moving forward with her academic and hockey future.
