To the Editor: Hello. I have attached a press release announcing a unique opportunity for businesses to learn about current advertising regulations from the Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau. Please let me know if you have questions, would like further information, or would like to set up an interview. Businesses don’t often get the chance to have their specific questions answered by such an auspicious group of experts all in one place. This is a fantastic opportunity for our business community. The event will take place in Golden Valley. The cost is $130. Opening remarks will be made by MN Attorney General Lori Swanson. There will be several other notable presenters and participants. Tickets need to be purchased in advance. The BBB is instrumental in keeping advertising in MN honest and ethical. Barbara Grieman MN Better Business Bureau
To the Editor: I received a phone call from Victoria Lion Steve Reus informing me that he had heard that Steve Olson’s house burned down last night (March 25th). I just returned from Steve’s house. He was dealing with his insurance guy. He said everyone is okay except for a missing cat. The house did not burn to the ground and the preliminary report is that it’s fixable. The house is uninhabitable and there is a fair amount of damage with major smoke damage. They were given some upfront money from their insurance guy to find temporary housing. Sounds like they’ll be out of the house for quite a while. Personal belongs loss appears to be fairly minimal. Jeff Chapman Victoria, Minnesota
