It was unintentional. It was accidental. It was without malice or forethought. It was venial and not mortal so I’m humbled but not dead.

I hid the February fishhook in a St. Joe’s ad on purpose. But when I hid the March fishhook I wasn’t thinking “St. Joseph’s at Waconia.” That Boogie Blast ad on page 8 last month was placed by Kim Heenie, you see, and so I was thinking “Island View Dining.” Gosh, it’s interesting how many people noticed. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. And if you don’t know what that means, you’re living 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Never saw that movie in its entirety. I started it a couple times but it doesn’t hold my attention. Now Titanic, that holds my attention. So did Ocean’s Eleven, but not Ocean’s Twelve. So did Moby Dick and Captain Courageous, but not Jaws. I don’t like scary shows and I don’t like monster shows.

But I do like hiding this little fishhook for you every month. Always makes me smile when you find it, and smiling is good. Margarete Smith of Howard Lake might have the biggest smile this month because ‘twas her name pulled from the minnow bucket and she gets the ten bucks. Congratulations, Margarete. Maybe you’ll use it to buy a margarita? Watch the salt.
