Garden Crawlers. We had quite a crowd this year at the Deer Run 3rd Annual Garden Crawl Event. Although the streets were under repair, 80 neighbors managed to make their way to five neighbors' gardens. We ended up at the Club-house and had the Boulder Guy and Garden Girls describe their incredible work on the new Deer Run entrance. The public is invited to come over to the Clubhouse to see the great gardens and gorgeous new landscaping. Nan Emmer Victoria, Minnesota
Walkable Community. On Tuesday, August 21st, Victoria residents, staff, and Carver County people got together to continue developing a plan of action to create a vision and plan for a "Walkable Commu-nity." Over the last couple of months, residents have been walking various routes in Victoria and assessing its "walkability." Hopefully this initiative will result in increased physical activity, community involve-ment in community design and transportation plans, and an action plan for the community to reduce barriers and enhance opportunities for all residents in Victoria. If you want more information, Holly Kreft is the person to call. Those in attendance on Tuesday included (back, l-r) Roger Gustafson, Carver County Engineer; Ron Allen, Senior Commission representative; Steve Elmer, TKDA; Paul Moline, Carver County Planner.
