One thing my toes never found while treading that black water's edge of Lake Minnetonka this recent Tuesday past was a fishhook. The discovery would have been poignant, to say the least. Last month many of you found that silly fishhook that I hide in each and every issue of the Victoria Gazette. Yes, it was in Mike Wartman's jukebox on page 11. Writes Lucy Geiger of Waconia, last month's winner of the drawing, "It made me real excited to find the fishhook two times in a row and I was looking through your Hook Line & Sinker column for the address to mail it and to my surprise, the winner was me!" The person to be surprised this month is Marlene Bentz of Excelsior. The ten bucks will be on its way to her shortly more than longly. Congratulations to everyone who found the fishhook and especially Ms. Bentz. No clues this month as to where September's fishhook is hiding. If you find it, drop a line telling of its where-abouts and sinker in the mail to P.O. Box 387, Victoria, MN 55386. I'll drop you in the minnow bucket with all the others, which is better than being dropped into Lake Minnetonka.
