To the Editor:
I encourage you to vote for Gary Delaney for Carver County Commissioner in District III at the primary election on Tuesday, September 12th.  Gary has made important contributions as a Commission-er on the County Board in his first term and should be re-elected to a second term.
Accomplishments of the County Board during Gary's first term include streamlining the county government by consolidating 26 departments into 7 divisions, maintaining steady county tax levels, and combining the Auditor, Treasurer, and Recorder into one appoint-ed position.  Gary makes well thought-out decisions and gives 100% for his constitu-ents.
The Commissioner from District III is the only one who represents Victoria so, as a resident of Victoria, Gary is the per-son who can best represent our interests on the County Board.  There are eight candidates seeking this position so every vote counts.  Please join me in voting for Gary Delaney in the primary election on Tuesday, September 12th.

Have you ever used cards and seals like those I'm using today?  Quite old, so you may not have done so!  Mike Wart-man always has an interesting story in the Gazette.  Years ago I worked with one of his relatives named Marie Wartman.  She was a nice lady.
The fishhook also, by the way, is on Mike's jukebox on page 11.  Happy rest of the summer to all of the Gazette people.

To the Editor:
I am voting for Greg Boe for Carver County Commissioner and encourage other District 3 voters to do the same.  I witnessed Greg's ability to grasp difficult issues, ask tough questions, and make sen-sible decisions during the year I served with him on our local homeowners asso-ciation board.
Carver County faces significant growth and development challenges.  We need someone who listens, understands the issues, and acts effectively on our be-half.  Greg's ten years of county govern-
ment experience give him the firsthand knowledge needed to manage these growth issues.  His approachable style makes him a natural choice for those who value common sense and civility in government.
Please vote for Greg Boe for County Commissioner in the primary on Septem-ber 12th and the election on November 7th.

To the Editor:
I would like to thank the citizens of Victoria for giving me the opportunity to serve on the City Council for the past four years.  It has been my distinct pleasure to work alongside the other Council mem-bers while dealing with the difficult issues which face Victoria as it continues to grow.
It has also been a pleasure working with city employees who keep Victoria operating efficiently on a day to day basis.  Victoria is fortunate to have such a dedi-cated and competent staff.
With a certain amount of regret, I will not be seeking reelection this fall.  There is no doubt in my mind that another Vic-toria resident will step forward with the requisite commitment to excellence which I have tried to bring to the job.
I encourage anyone with a commit-ment to Victoria to seek election.  The reward for the time and effort involved is the satisfaction that comes from knowing you have served your friends, neighbors, and community.
Best regards,
Terry Bishop

To the Editor:
Thanks for the great press for the Victoria House restaurant in the August issue of the Gazette.  People have been talking about it the whole month.  Could you make one little correction in the September paper and let everyone know that John is still available?  Thanks.
