To the Editor: I was surfing around a little and found your website with the pictures from Belgium and Holland. I visit the Ardennes once a year myself, however I have not been so far south as Dinant but it is on my "to do" list. Most of my traveling within the Ardennes is done by bicycle so I get to see a lot of very rural landscape and I run across a lot of very nice folks, although communication is tough at times. They are always amazed to see a middle age man from Texas cycling around in such a rural area. Robet Stephens via email

Nancy Kracke Communication Relations Director School District 112
To the Editor: The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency seeks comments on an Environ-mental Worksheet that has been prepared for proposed construction of the Victoria and St. Bonifacius Area wastewater inter-ceptor. The draft EAW is open for public comment until 4:30 p.m. September 13th. The existing interceptor system was constructed in the early 1970's and suffers from deterioration and corrosion. Rapid population growth in the service area is also quickly outpacing the capacity of the system. To correct these problems, the pro-posed project will upgrade and replace 68,000 feet of sewer. Current and future residents and businesses in the service area will benefit from the improvements. The proposed interceptor will move wastewater from Laketown Township and the cities of Victoria, Waconia, Minnetris-ta, St. Boni, Mound, Shorewood, and Spring Park, and carry it to the Blue Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant in Shakopee. Construction of the project should begin in 2007. The EAW - which is a preliminary review looking at how the project could affect the environment - is open to a 30-day public review and comment period. Comments on the Victoria and St. Bonifacius Area Interceptor EAW should be submitted in writing by 4:30 p.m. on September 13th to Jessica Eberts, MPCA Regional Division, 520 Lafayette Road North, St. Paul, MN 55155. The MPCA will use these comments to evaluate the potential for significant en-vironmental effects from the project and decide if a more comprehensive Environ-mental Impact Statement is needed. The EAW is available for review at www.pca.state.mn.us/news/eaw/index.html. A copy can also be requested by calling Mary Osborn at 651-297-8510. Jennifer Groebner MN Pollution Control Agency
To the Editor: We would like to thank all who gave their support and kindness in the time of our mother's death. Being surrounded by family and friends makes a hard time easier. Family of Evelyn Schrempp Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: The Rev. Jane Harberg asked me to prepare a very brief history of the Mora-vian Church of Lake Auburn, Victoria, MN, and I thought that you would like a copy. An interesting piece of information is that the name Auburn came from an area in Cincinnati, Ohio, where the Gerd-sen and Holtmeier families came from before moving to Carver County, MN. Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
