To the Editor:
Thank you for running the pieces about our children Krista and Brady in the August issue of the Gazette.  They were both thrilled and, of course, comments by neighbors are fun too.  Do you have avail-able any extra issues of the August Gazette?  Five or six would be great.  Please let me know.

To the Editor:
On the evening of August 12th, 2006, the members of the graduating Classes of 1948 and 1949 of Chaska High School met for a great meal and time of fellow-ship at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater.
Folks from Victoria or who had once lived in the greater Victoria area were Donna (Mrs. Tom) Schneider, Mary Jane (Mrs. Bob) Ploof, Gerda and Jerry Schmieg, Chuck Tschimperle, Cliff Ebert, Paul Diethelm, Glenna and Dr. Neil Bealka, Alice and Morrie Leuthner, and my wife Harriet and myself.
The Class of 1948 had 54 graduates; 13 have passed on.  The Class of 1949 had 57 graduates with 11 having passed on.
I learned that Morrie and Alice Leuthner had moved to a neat new home just off Minnewashta Parkway.
Paul Diethelm related that he and his dad were using one of my dad's boats on Stieger Lake (my dad rented out boats during the Depression to make extra cash) when they were hit by a hailstorm.  That was quite an experience and we are glad they survived.
I had a nice chat with Cy Kerber, whom I had not seen since high school days.  He was in the Class of 1949, and I was in the Class of 1948.  He reminded me that he was very short during high school and now is about six feet tall.  I told him that I did not get over 100 pounds until I was in the tenth grade
- hardly football material.
Many of the folks I chatted with told me how neat the Victoria Gazette is and they can't wait for the next issue.

To the Editor:
I need your advice regarding the City of Victoria-owned property which is located across the road from our home on Victoria Drive, near the Lake Auburn Moravian Church.  The city has taken little or no action regarding my situation.
There were five dead geese on the city property.  Instead of taking the geese bodies away, the city mowed over some of the bodies and scattered geese parts all over the area.  There are several bodies still there in an area where the city no longer mows, which I have asked to be removed.
The geese feathers and other geese body parts are still scattered all over the area.  The thistles are still spreading their seeds and while the thistles around the brick home were cut, they were cut after the seeds were ripe and scattered through-out the neighborhood which, of course, does not make the folks living in this area very happy.
Can you help?

To the Editor:
How do I find that photo of the fire engine in your August issue of the Gazette?  Some of our grandkids are in the picture and I wanted copies for their photo albums that I do for them.  Can you help?  Thank you.

To the Editor:
I wrote the following note to Mr. Delbert E. Miller at Three Rivers Park District last week ...
"Enclosed is a copy of an article which appeared in the July 1989 issue of the Victoria Gazette.  In it you state that the correct spelling is Stieger Lake and you promised to have the spelling correc-tion made on your maps, etc., as they are reprinted.  I am saddened to report that after 17 years, these corrections have not been made.  I would appreciate your help in making sure that this corrections gets made quickly."

To the Editor:
Victoria isn't the only place with a jukebox.  Our local Legion in Chaska has one also - three songs for 25 cents, one for a dime.
The funniest song used to be one called "Mini Skirt."  I can still remember when I was 10 years old and an old guy always gave me and my little brother change for the jukebox.  I'd play Mini Skirt and the old timer danced up a storm and had a snoot full at times and that made it funnier.
Your fishhook is hiding on the juke-box on page 11 in the August paper.
