Hook, Line & Sinker
by Sue Orsen

Thank you, Darel Geske, for the fresh salmon from Lake Michigan.  It was mouth-watering scrumptious, the best fish I've had since the sunnies that Miss Adeline caught on Lake Zumbra.  We're always open to a slab of fresh salmon.
I can imagine the downriggers trolling Lake Michigan for hours on end, until someone yells, "FISH ON!"  Those good old days have given sway to good new days for us, but you, Mr. Geske, bring back good memories as well as good fish.  Thanks again.
Doesn't matter if you're a big or little fisherman, you're all eligible to look for the fishhook hidden in each and every issue of the Victoria Gazette.  If you find it, drop a liner to Box 387, Victoria, MN 55386 telling of its location and sinker in the mail.  If your name is drawn from the minnow bucket, you get the $10 buckeroos.  Otherwise you just get to smile or frown, depending on your disposition regarding the Gazette's elusive fishhook.
Winner this time was Asha Sukhu of Chaska.  Congratulations, Asha!  The fishhook was hidden on page 38 in the Deer Run logo where lots of you had trouble finding it.  The $10 will soon be on it way to you!  I bet you're smiling.
