Still Sky High. I was up in a small plane last week and took some photos of Victoria that I thought you might want to use in the Gazette. Use them at your own discretion. They are yours to keep. Thanks. Dick Molnau of Laketown Township provided me with the ride. Keith Anderson The Waconia Patriot Waconia, Minnesota EDITOR'S NOTE: Thanks again, Keith. Readers might recognize the site of the ever rising condo-minium complex in downtown Victoria known as the Shores of Stieger Lake. It is now four stories high and today they're in the roofing mode.
Happy 60th Anniversary, Vic and Sis!
Vic and Sis Schneider of Lake Bavaria were married on August 16th, 1944, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska. They farmed for 35 years. They have four daughters, nine grand-children, and 4 great grandchild-ren. For the special occasion of their 60th, the children picked up Vic and Sis with a limousine and chartered a dinner cruise on Lake Minnetonka. Happy anniversary, good people.
Happy 30th Birthday, Uncle Keith!!! Love, Brady. I hope we're not too late in submitting this birthday announcement for Keith. I have attached a digital photo for you to use. We're not too fussy about the layout, but could you send us back an email so we know what to expect? That would be great. If you need to contact us immediately, please call us at our home or on Sarah's cell, but please do not leave a message at home because this is going to be a surprise for Keith. Thanks, Sue.

Groundbreaking for MABSCCO. I received a call from Scott Craig, a staff person at the STEP Home at 7555 Victoria Drive (formerly the Lake Auburn Home for the Aged). Construction of the new facility was expected to start about July 26th and be finished in early December. They will only be using half of the property across from the Home. The part nearest to Wisteria Street will be left as it is. The new building will be one-story with no basement and have a special kind of concrete siding. The City of Victoria now owns all the former buildings of MABSSCO and the land where the old Lake Auburn Home still stands. Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
Dance for joy. Hi, Sue. I hope you are doing well. Maybe you could stop in for a visit when you come to Hutchinson. I think that is where you get the Gazette printed. That would be fun. Anyway, I have these two pictures. The group is from a dance team camp the last week in July. The girls are all District 112, first to seventh graders, along with some members of the CHS dance team. They all will perform at the first home football game at CHS on Friday, September 10th. The camp was directed by myself and Kris Rydland. The second picture is of me and my three children (Father Elstan's great, great nieces and nephew), Juliah, Evan, and Alexah. It was taken outside the metrodome on Saturday, August 14th. I performed at halftime with 120 alumni Minnesota Viking Cheerleaders to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the MN Viking Cheerleaders. It was a blast from the past considering I hadn't been down on the field dancing for ten years! It was a great experience. Well, I better get this in the mail. Thanks for updating my address so I still receive the Gazette here in Hutchinson. Have a good day. Donna Brown Fort Hutchinson, MN (formerly Victoria)
