"Victoria Moments" continued

Five Generations of Motherhood.  (L-r): Evelyn Gallup (68 yrs), Marietta Dauley (91 yrs), Isabelle Rebecca Reese (3 months), Barbara Craig (47 yrs), Cara Reese (23 yrs).

It's not often in life that a family has the joy of sharing the sofa with five generations.  Yet this happened last month in Cobleskill, New York, when Marietta Dauley was introduced to her great, great granddaughter Isabelle Rebecca Reese.  With so much hoopla these days about working mothers and family values, this family is a testament to the long life afforded those who work hard and make the time to enjoy the pleasure of motherhood.
Mrs. Dauley, a resident of Robinson Terrace in Stamford, NY, was born on December 30th, 1912.  She raised three daughters and worked in the hotel business, volunteered at the hospital, and was a farmer's wife.
Her daughter Evelyn Gallup was born in Richmondville, NY, on January 4th, 1936.  She also raised three daughters, and a son worked in several service industries and retired from the railroad.
Her daughter Barbara Craig was born in Albany, NY, on October 19th, 1956.  She raised two daughters and a son and works in high tech marketing.
Her daughter Cara Cambridge was born in Newport Beach, CA, on October 22nd, 1980.  She is raising her first daughter in the traditions set forth by the mothers before her.  She works in radio sales.
Her daughter Isabelle Reese was born in Castle Rock, CO, on April 26th, 2004.  Unaware at this age that she has a legacy to live up to, we're confident that Isabelle is ready to conquer the world in style like the long line of women who paved the way before her.
Although these five generations of women have lived through multitudes of life changing events and inventions, consistent are the values and love of motherhood that each possesses.  None were afraid to conquer new challenges the world brought their way.  These days they all keep in touch with pictures and stories of motherhood -- via email of course!

Thank you, Sue.  I'm confident many of your readers would be interested in this family picture and storyline.
