Seems only yesterday that our kids were babies and toddlers and that we got to tend to their every need.  Little by little they came to need us less and less.  Nick was very young when he started doing his own laundry at home because I acciden-tally turned some white things of his pink.
He got his first steady job and spend-ing money while in high school, on his own, working many, many hours at a miniature golf course.  He purchased a red scooter with a $500 down payment and rode the ditches and fields to get to work since he was too young to be riding a motorized vehicle on streets and high-ways.
For all these many years, Nick remains aware of when his mother is working diligently on the Gazette, of when it will be printed, of when I'll publish it online, of when I shouldn't be bothered too much.  He is always the first person to comment on my editorial or the feature story.  He checks my hyperlinks and tells me if something is amiss.  It's heartwarming to know that my little boy keeps up with the schedule of his mama without me saying a word.  I now see Nick doing these same kind and thought-ful things for Jen.  That's what all these good things are intended for.

I want to dance with you,
twirl you all around the floor.
That's what they intended dancing' for,
I just want to dance with you.

Nick and Jen now make their first nest together in the Maple Grove townhome.  They've safely returned from a honeymoon trip to Hawaii where they snorkeled, went on a helicopter ride over the islands, joined a dinner cruise one evening, attended a luau, and got some sun on the beach.
Now it's time to get to work, go to the office, come home for supper, and be about the business of dancing and married life.  Congratulations, Nick and Jen.  Your wedding weekend was just wonderful.  Love you both.
Other wedding photographs from up north in Bemidji from the weekend are located at www.VictoriaGazette.com.  Just click on Sue's Album and scroll to the bottom.  If you feel like stopping along the way to see other things in our lives, that's okay too.
