Open House at the newly expanded Vic-toria Fire Station and newly constructed Victoria Water Treatment Plant. Satur-day, October 7th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the start of Fire Pre-vention Week. Bring the entire family for both fun and education.
Arboretum Book Sale. Each year Friends of the Andersen Horticultural Library - located on the eastern doorstep of Victoria -- holds a sale of gently used books on all subjects from gardening to cooking, poetry, mystery novels, and how-to guides. The sale is held Friday, Saturday, Sunday, October 6th, 7th, and 8th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Apple House. Each year the opening of the Arboretum Apple House in Victoria signifies the winding down of summer and the launch of the fall season. This year the Apple House is filled with plenty of fruit, including the brand new apple, Zestar. The Apple House is open daily in September and October, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Victoria Lions meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Victoria Hall on Rose Street at 6:30 p.m.
Victoria Chamber of Commerce meets on an irregular basis.
Victoria Senior Citizens meet weekly on Thursdays at the Acorn House in Diethelm Park.
Victoria City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Victoria Hall on Rose Street. There are also special council meetings and workshops scheduled throughout the year.
Victoria American Legion meets monthly. Established in 1995. Call Dan Steinhagen, Carver County Veterans Officer, for more information.
Victoria Toastmasters meet the second and fourth Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
