To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Stop by Floyd's this weekend. I'll buy you a beer. Or, better yet, stop on Thursday night. It's going to be a great show and the tacos are the best, just like the side streets in Mexico. Remember smelling the oil they fry the tortillas in? Remember hearing the steak sizzle in the pan? Remember the dogs running around at your feet? Well, we've got everything but the dogs!. Lois Plocher Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Hope you remember me from the Southwest newspapers when I was director of sales and marketing and also when at one time I took youth base-ball photos for your paper when my twin sons competed in the Victoria leagues. Some information for you … The Chaska Rotary has 12 Russian business people in town for two more weeks and they are presenting some good stories. Daily they are visiting local industry as guests, learning about each business … FSI, Entegris, and many others. Gary Cooper and I took several of them fishing on Pierson Lake last Sunday. If you are looking for a story, give me or Bob Moeller a call. Bob is heading up the effort. Your paper looks great as always and I'm impressed with your website … creative and unique, not just another newspaper site. Have a great summer and fall. Gary Klatt Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Good morning, Sue. Thank you for the coverage of our School Board candi-dates in your September issue of the Gazette. We appreciate it. Absolutely great photos, I agree. And your questions were very interesting, too. No doubt. There is one piece of information that will need a correction in your next issue. We have only one polling place in Victoria for school elections: City Hall on Rose Street. Thanks for making that clear in your next edition. Can we expect you at our September 18th Open House at Victoria Elementary? Thanks again. Nancy Kracke, District 112 Director of Community Relations Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thanks for the complimentary copy of the Gazette. Your contribution to the community via the printed word is price-less. Jack Bell, Candidate District 112 School Board Chanhassen, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thanks for printing the photos from our Garden Crawl event. I love the place-ment of the story up on top by the date and publication name of your paper. That way when I make copies and put it in my neighborhood book, we can identify the date and year. Cute pics of your grandkids! Nan Emmer Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: You do a great job with the Gazette. The fishhook in the September 2005 issue is on page 35 in the artwork for the oil rig in the article entitled "Oil For Food … and China." Bill Henney Minnetonka, Minnesota
To the Editor: Good morning. I'm forwarding an email that I received detailing locations you might call to help with the Katrina hurricane relief that go beyond giving money and also listing what is needed by way of donations. If you can do more than pray and give money, this could be an opportunity for you to do so. Didn't Jesus say some-thing about being hungry, tired, naked, thirsty, and a stranger and thereby minis-tering to Him? We must all do what we can to help a really bad situation become a little better. Please share the information with others and do whatever you are able. I do have paper copies of the locations and a needs list here at the church office for anyone who may need them. Peace and blessings. LaVonne Kroells Carver County Red Cross
To the Editor: I am a resident of Victoria and a mortgage broker in Chanhassen. I'm interested in doing some ongoing adver-tising in the Victoria Gazette and would be interested in finding out further details regarding placement, cost, etc. Could you email me further information? Thanks. Bob Merrill Victoria, Minnesota
