To the Editor:
I am writing to express my support for Dave Lindgren in his reelection cam-paign for Victoria City Council.  I have known Dave for the last 15 years, since he moved into my neighborhood.  Whether it was help with a school project or just a friendly jab, he quickly became a valuable member of our neighborhood.
Dave has taken a special interest in my family and has always looked after my kids when he sees them in the street or in town.  I know he listens to his neighbors and tries to do what is necessary to repre-sent the City of Victoria.
He has been a level head on the city council through some tough and stressful times.  I also know that he keeps the con-versation in the council meetings on task, and he seems to be a voice of reason when it is needed.  Please join me and vote for Dave in November.

To the Editor:
Hi, Sue.  Since we finally have summer weather it's hard to believe that the holidays are just around the corner, but here at the CAP Agency we are pre-paring for Hope for the Holidays.
Would you please remind your readers that they have the opportunity to help a Carver County family who cannot afford to buy holiday gifts?  Hope for the Holiday sponsors are encouraged to pro-vide gifts for an entire family.  The family's wish list is provided to the sponsor to assist in selection of "just the right gift" for each person.
Often, neighborhoods, card clubs, or bowling teams (and maybe church choirs?) will join together to sponsor one or more families.  Anyone interested in "adopting" a family this holiday season or to volunteer to assist with the project is asked to call the CAP Agency Hope for the Holidays hotline at 952-402-9871.
Thanks for your help in getting the word out.

To the Editor:
Hope everyone was able to attend the Touch of Bavaria last weekend.  Everyone worked so hard to achieve a really great event.
October's Chamber meeting is anoth-er very important meeting.  We will be discussing and voting on the new bylaws.  We'll also have forms for nominating members to the Board of Directors for 2005.  The food is always great, the new bylaws are important, and fellowship with other members is, as the commercial goes, priceless.  See you there.

To the Editor:
In the upcoming election for Victoria city councilmembers, we urge people to support Rick Tieden in his bid to be re-elected to the City Council.  Rick is a proven leader in our community.  His positive attitude in supporting the open-ing of the Victoria Field House was a definite asset to our community.
Our community is experiencing large growth with annexation of more land.  Rick's previous involvement as a past council person will be an asset for the community as more building progresses.
He supports the local clubs and is an active member of the Victoria Lions.  Rick carefully considers what is best for the City of Victoria.  We support Rick in his bid for another term and urge each of you to vote for Richard Tieden in the November election.

To the Editor:
Dave Lindgren has been a friend and neighbor of ours in Victoria for over 15 years.  Next month he is running for re-election to the Victoria City Council.  Dave has helped steer our city through the past several years of change with strong leadership and with heart.
I have always felt that Dave has only had the best in mind for our city, while making sure that growth and progress would happen with the utmost care to pre-serve the quality that attracted everyone to this area in the first place.
A city as special and unique as Vic-toria requires someone as dedicated as Dave Lindgren to continue to make the important decisions for its future.  Please join me in re-electing Dave Lindgren to the Victoria City Council.

To the Editor:
Want to know to clean the toilet the fun way?  1) Put both lids up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.  2) Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bath-room.  3) In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids.  You may need to stand on the lid.
