Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
I want to commend you for your personal courage in taking the editorial stand you did regarding the popular myth-ology on evolution so often foisted on the American public, children in school as well as adults in other programming, as "scientific" and "fact."
Scripture speaks very clearly on the matter of origins -- unless one is willing to twist it beyond recognition -- that it is a result of the special design and creation of God.
You used the powerful approach of simple and irrefutable logic in making your argument as a basis for your belief.  it's sometimes called the natural know-ledge of God as revealed in the world around us.
Thanks for stating what so many out there know and believe in their hearts and minds to be true but are not able, or are afraid, to state it so well as you did.

To the Editor:
I just wanted to say a quick thanks to you and the entire city for all that's been done for me and my family as I get ready to deploy with my National Guard unit.  Victoria is such a wonderful city.  I hope that the new residents moving here fully appreciate this special place.  Thanks again for everyone's thoughts and prayers during my absence.
I also wanted to welcome back to Victoria a resident and true hero, Captain Tony Groble.  Captain Groble recently returned, along with his Army Reserve unit, from a long tour of duty in Iraq.  Thank you for your service to our nation and for you and your family's sacrifice for our continued freedom.
God bless you all.  I can't way to get back.

To the Editor:
Hi, Sue.  Your Alaska story that began in the last Gazette brought back
memories ...
Many years ago we flew to Colorado to Lenny's brother and his wife, and we went by motorhome to Alaska.  They gave us the master bedroom and they slept on the table.  We went in May, and the traffic was really light.  We didn't have long lines to get in any place, and most of the time it was free.  We drove in through Tok, and from there went into Alaska.
Going through Montana and lots of Canada was great also.
We saw most of what you saw in Alaska, and most of it was free because they didn't start to charge until June.  Denali Park was great, and we saw moose.  In one town moose had the right of way crossing the streets.  They are really a huge animal.
It was all interesting, with just one highway through the whole state.  We went down to the middle and then down to the coast and took almost the same route home.  The only place we didn't get was the eastern park and the northern part, mostly because there weren't any roads.  It must be better to get around now.  This a was a while back, before arthritis settled
in the Old Man.
I certainly enjoyed your story.  Glad you had a great time.
As ever,
Ardes Koehnen

To the Editor:
My name is Jennifer Mustful, and I recently moved to beautiful Victoria in the new Savanna Valley neighborhood.  I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself to you and the Victoria Gazette.
I am a sales representative with The Imaging Path in Minneapolis.  We are a full-line independent Canon office equip-ment dealership.  We specialize in color, document management, and all hardware.  I have Victoria and surrounding western suburbs as a territory.
I feel that it is in the best interest of The Imaging Path and myself to place an advertisement in the Gazette so that local businesses and the City of Victoria know that I am a local resident and wish to do business where I live.
Can you please let me know all the specifics and the very best way to get my name out there?  Thank you, Sue, and I hope this e-mail finds you back from a wonderful weekend.

To the Editor:
Enjoyed reading about your trip to Alaska.  What a wonderful grand adven-ture, a trip of a lifetime, I'm sure.  Found the fishhook on page 26 in the Weinzierl Jewelers ad, on the flashy ring.  Always look forward to reading your paper.
Sincerely,
