October 2003 Letters continued

To the Editor:
I want to publicly thank all the business owners who were so generous with their donations to the Touch of Bavaria Raffle prizes and grand prizes.  There were a lot of happy people walking away with great gifts that night, and others were mailed their certificates the next day.
Special thanks to a first time sponsor to Touch of Bavaria -- Herb and Elaine Wensmann of Wensmann Homes -- for their kind donation of $250.
Thanks to those who came to support and celebrate this wonderful community event.

To the Editor:
I would be interested in any and all written material you have on Wendelin and Julianna Grimm.  They are my great, great, great, great, great grandparents on my father's side.
My father and his sister passed away about five years ago and with some of their knowledge of the family tree.  We have many writings and pictures of the family to piece together and your informa-tion would help immensely.
My sister was the one that found Wendelin Grimm on your website.  We had no idea of the prominence and recognition Wendelin had.  We knew of his story of Grimm alfalfa, but that's all.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Diane Pehrson
