More Oct. 2002 Letters to the Editor

shares in my distrust for those who might abuse their political position to further their own ambitions over those of the community.
Carver County is growing rapidly and we need to encourage new, strong leader-ship if we are going to keep pace.  Gary Delaney is too good for us to pass up.  He wants to serve and I' know he'll do a great job!
Please vote on November 5th and make it a vote you can be glad you made
-- GARY DELANEY FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER.

To the Editor:
I participated in working my first election in the September Primary.  I was amazed at the enormous task conducting a county-wide election was.  It was clear to me that there is no substitute for experi-ence in coordinating an assignment of that magnitude.
I want to convey to Mark Lundgren and his staff a thank you for the profes-sional manner in which the election was conducted as well as the way I was treat-ed.  I was impressed.
I have worked in the public sector for 28 years.  I know how difficult it can be to organize resources and personnel.  Through the writing and acceptance of a $28,000 grant from the State of Minneso-ta, Mark has installed the same Precinct Count voting system throughout the entire county, thus assuring all citizens that their votes will count.
Mark has proven that his experience in conducting elections is invaluable.  I encourage you to re-elect Mark Lundgren and keep the integrity of all Carver County elections intact.

To the Editor:
For thirty-plus years I have known Gary Delaney.  Back during our time with the Governor Levander administration, Gary traveled countless miles to help pro-mote a strong state administration.  During Gary's business career, I entrusted him to review and advise me on my investment portfolio.
Now, today, I would strongly recom-mend that Gary has the background and the human touch to be an outstanding Carver County Commissioner.

To the Editor:
My wife and I would like to suggest that Gary Delaney would make an excel-lent county commissioner.  It's not often that someone with his background of accomplishments and enthusiasm steps up to take on this important position.
His background of government, pri-vate industry, i.e., investment analyst, and church and community involvement, bodes well for our county.  With Gary as commissioner, the county will be in com-petent hands.  It is time for a change!

To the Editor:
There are benefits to being smaller than the competition.  One such advantage both Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria and Southwest Christian School in Chaska have taken advantage of is the ability to share a football team.  The two schools have come together to form the first varsity football team for Holy Family Catholic High School.  Both schools are represented in the starting roster.  For both schools, the future looks bright.
Attached please find a picture of some of our starting lineup.
Back row (l-r):  Ryan Klingelhutz, Matt Johnson, Joe Westerhaus.  Front:  JP Savaryn, Brian Blomberg, and Tim Amundsen.
